I hear you asking yourselves, how come this young (cough) man is extolling the virtues of a beer that is fit only for the West Midlands cloth cap brigade and old fogies elsewhere?
Pale yellow, gassy, non-descript, mostly harmless, yet curiously approachable, whether served on draught or in cans… it was all the same.
...it was a veritable sh*t scene, but in a good way...
It was widely available to me in my formative years and became my go-to beer of choice, although it drove many of my friends to become lager drinkers…
I think I love their East Coast hazy IPAs even more, and even though the NEIPA style has probably been a little over-exposed these last five years, and we may all be suffering from a little palate tiredness, I still get great joy from a fruity funky refreshing hazy.
